This policy explains the limited data handling of EO Global Caption Operations.
What the service does
The service monitors the EO Global YouTube channel for newly published long-form videos, creates caption files, translates them, stores caption-file backups, and uploads the completed tracks to the same channel.
Google and YouTube data
An EO-managed Google account authorizes access to YouTube Data API features required to identify channel videos and manage caption tracks. The service uses this access only for EO Global caption operations. It does not access unrelated channels, publish videos, alter video metadata, or manage viewer accounts.
Caption files and service providers
Caption text is processed to create English captions and translations. Completed caption files are stored on the EO operations computer and backed up to an access-restricted EO storage location. Caption generation and translation may use EO-approved speech and language processing providers.
Retention and access
EO retains completed caption files to support publishing, correction, and recovery. Access is limited to EO personnel and service accounts that require it for caption operations.
